The subscription’s foundation lies in “MIZUNO MANIMANI,” an original story project featuring a fictional water dragon deity and spirits that are tied to Japanese breweries. An animated adaptation of this story is reportedly under consideration, adding a layer of narrative depth to the service. The development of this concept followed a successful launch event in Tokyo in December 2025, which drew approximately 5,800 attendees. A survey conducted among 511 of these participants revealed a significant interest in the cultural and historical aspects of Japanese sake, with over half expressing enthusiasm for having these stories narrated by voice actors.
Beyond its domestic ambitions, SAKEANI JAPAN plans to extend “Kokushu Seijo” to international markets, starting with an introduction at JapanFest in Atlanta. This initiative aims to broaden the appreciation of Japanese culture and its traditional alcoholic beverages on a global scale. To support this international expansion, the company is engaged in discussions with potential partners across distribution, media, events, and the entertainment industry.
