Anime enthusiasts traveling from Kyoto to the renowned “NARUTO&BORUTO Shinobi-Zato” attraction in Nijigen no Mori on Awaji Island will soon benefit from a more streamlined travel option. Starting July 1, 2026, a new direct bus service will link Kyoto Station with Awaji Island, offering a combined package that includes round-trip highway bus transportation and admission to the anime park. This initiative is tailored to simplify day trips for both local and international visitors by eliminating the need for transfers.
The highway bus journey from Kyoto to Awaji Island spans approximately 90 minutes, during which travelers can enjoy scenic views that include bridges and the sea. Upon arrival, visitors gain entry to notable attractions such as the “Heaven’s Scroll (Ten no Maki)” three-dimensional maze and the “Earth Scroll (Chi no Maki)” mission rally, both of which are central experiences at the park.
The new bus package will cater to weekday travelers, with major holiday periods excluded from availability. Tickets are priced at 8,200 yen for adults and 4,250 yen for children, inclusive of taxes. These tickets can be purchased online, with a ticket exchange required at the Kyoto Bus Ticket Center post-purchase.
